Bill Britton has dedicated his life to leadership — in uniform, in technology, and in his community.

Bill served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as an Electronic Warfare Officer, managing multi-billion-dollar satellite programs and national defense operations. After retiring from active duty at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, he led major technology and cybersecurity programs at Raytheon, L-3 Communications, and Parsons, where he became Vice President of Cyber Strategy.  He also operated a private consulting firm that provided services and support to large defense companies and smaller startups by augmenting their staff and offering consultative services and fiscal management. Later, he joined Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as Chief Information Officer and Chief Technologist, launching initiatives in digital transformation, 5G, and cybersecurity workforce development.

Since 2020, Bill has volunteered with the City of Paso Robles as an Airport Commissioner, Spaceport Advisor, and member of the Digital Corridor and Spaceport Technology Park Working Group—helping to guide the city’s path toward innovation and growth.

He also partnered with the Paso Robles Unified School District on its Strategic Plan and Career Technical Education (CTE) Plan, linking education to real-world careers in technology and aviation. This year, he joined the Paso Robles Rotary Club.

Bill and his wife Annie, a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, have built their life around faith, service, and family. Together, they’ve raised a blended family that embodies resilience, compassion, and the belief that showing up for one another defines real community.
